I’m Kelli Rocha, a writer, storyteller, and lifelong learner in California’s Central Valley. For over two decades, I’ve shared personal reflections, family stories, and historical insights through my blog and books. This space is where I blend my passions for writing, family, history, and creativity.

My Family

I’m married to Leroy Rocha, and together we’ve built a life rooted in love, faith, and community. Our daughter, Sierra Oliveira, is married to Joey, and they have two children, Jameson and Charlotte. Our son, Steel Rocha, is married to Taylor. Family is at the heart of everything I do, and their support and inspiration fuel my work.

My Writing Journey

I’ve been blogging for over 20 years, documenting the everyday moments and milestones that shape our lives. In 2020, I published my first book, Hey Kid: A Letter to My Grandchildren, a heartfelt collection of letters offering life lessons, encouragement, and reflections for my grandchildren. In 2022, I co-authored The Commentary Project with Joan Chiesa. This collaborative work provides personal commentary on the Roman Catholic Lectionary Cycles, used in the RCIA Program at St. Stanislaus Church in Modesto, California..

Passion for History and Travel

Beyond writing, I have a deep love for reading, particularly history, with a special interest in World War II. This fascination has led me to travel to various historical sites around the world, including Germany and Poland, where I also visited Auschwitz-Birkenau. These journeys have enriched my understanding of history and have become a significant part of my storytelling.​

Creative Pursuits

I’m also an avid scrapbooker and photographer, capturing moments and memories to preserve and share with others. And, of course, I can’t resist a peanut butter cookie.
